AMD GPU Drivers Still Need Improvement in 2025

I’ve never been a huge AMD fan because of their driver issues, and after switching to a full AMD gaming and workstation setup, I feel like I should have trusted that instinct. When I first built the PC everything ran perfectly, but the Adrenalin drivers turned out to be a constant source of problems, right-click bugs, random driver crashes, failures after sleep mode, and other Windows-related glitches. These aren’t small annoyances either, they disrupt daily use.

Coming from years of Intel and NVIDIA builds, I can honestly say those platforms just work. I never dealt with this level of instability.

What makes it worse is that I rely on my PC for work as much as gaming, so stability is critical. For now, I’ve rolled back about six months of driver updates just to get things usable again, but I still don’t know if the sleep-mode crash is truly fixed. Time will tell.

Consider this a bit of advice, AMD graphics hardware has potential, but their drivers still need significant improvement.
